Inspiration: Beautiful foliage of the Sumac and Acer trees in Autumn sunlight.

The stunning Rust/Red and Ochre shades of the leaves in Autumn are a sight to behold. The richness of the colours as the leaves turn from green to auburn, red, ochre, and various shades of beige and browns. The sun shining on the foliage throws shadows across the landscape and gives a golden hue to the countryside.

I captured this with Ochre shades of merino wool felted and layered with rust coloured dyed silk fabric and cotton scrim. Darker brown shades of wool mounds with rich orange dyed silk cocoons create the depth and beading added for the sunlight dazzling on the foliage.
